A new NASA airborne mission led by JIFRESSE researcher Alexander Handwerger

April 26, 2024

The Landslide Climate Change Experiment (LACCE) investigation, led by Alexander Handwerger (NASA JPL/JIFRESSE) was selected as a new NASA airborne mission through the agency's Earth Venture program. LACCE will utilize airborne radar and optical imagery to measure the motion and hydrology of slow-moving landslides occurring in different hydroclimates in California to better understand how precipitation extremes (droughts and wet periods) impact slope stability.
